What is Airtel Payments Bank RuPay NCMC enabled card?

Airtel Payments Bank RuPay NCMC enabled card is a multi-purpose card that allows you to tap & pay for public transportation across various cities in India. It works on multiple modes like metros, buses, trains, and more where NCMC is enabled as mode of payment. Thus, eliminating the need for carrying multiple transit cards. Moreover, Min KYC prepaid card and savings account linked debit card variant can be used for online shopping on your favourite e-commerce websites and shopping at merchant terminals (POS) as well. With the Debit Card variant, you can also withdraw cash from any ATM near you. Think of it as a one-card-fits-all solution for your seamless travel and shopping needs!

What are the available variants of Airtel Payments Bank RuPay NCMC Cards?

Airtel Payments Bank offers three variants of RuPay NCMC Cards: Debit Card, Prepaid Card, and PPI MTS Card. Each variant is designed to cater to different customer needs and use cases, providing varying levels of functionality across transit, PoS, e-commerce, and ATM transactions.

How are the cards linked to customer accounts, and what are the transaction limits?

The Debit Card is linked to a Savings Bank Account, the Prepaid Card is associated with a Minimum KYC Wallet, and the PPI MTS Card functions as a standalone Prepaid Payment Instrument. In terms of transaction limits, the Debit Card allows up to ₹2,000 for transit payments, ₹25,000 for PoS and e-commerce transactions, ₹5,000 for contactless PoS payments, and ₹10,000 for ATM withdrawals. The Prepaid Card shares the same limits as the Debit Card, except for ATM transactions, which are not supported. The PPI MTS Card, on the other hand, is limited to ₹2,000 for transit payments only.

What transactions can be performed with these cards?

All three variants support offline payments for transit systems, enabling seamless and quick commuting. For PoS transactions, both the Debit Card and Prepaid Card can be used in contact and contactless modes, while the PPI MTS Card is not compatible with PoS payments. Online transactions on e-commerce websites are supported by the Debit Card and Prepaid Card but not by the PPI MTS Card. ATM withdrawals are exclusive to the Debit Card, as the other two variants do not support this feature.
